Can’t decide on which ceremony song to use? Although there are so many options to select, in this blog I lay out my top ten recommendations for ceremony songs to walk down the aisle to.

Slow Ceremony Songs

1. At Last by Etta James

This song is such a classic but very rare to find couples using this for their ceremony song. As you listen to the song imagine watching your partner gaze eyes to the words “at last, my love has come along. The wait is over…” and just balling out to how stunning they look and the unbelieve fact that they are yours! To listen to this ceremony song, click here

2. A Thousand Years by Christina Perri

We all love this one from the famous Twilight Saga Series but have you ever imagined walking down the aisle to this song? You will be sure shredding a tear to this one. To listen to this song, click here

3. Canon in D Major

There are so many versions of this ceremony song. This is the most popular and classical choice for couples to use during their ceremony. If you are going for something more traditional I would go with this song. You can also find any artist who has instrumentally done a cover of this. This song never gets old, to listen to it click here

4. Can’t Help Falling in Love by Haley Reinhart

Although this song was originally by Elvis Presley. This cover by Haley Reinhart gets me every time. We know this version from the movie “Crazy Rich Asians” and because this movie is fairly new-ish, this is a song a lot of my couples want to go with. To listen to this ceremony song, click here

Upbeat Ceremony Songs

5. I Choose You by Sara Barelles

This fun upbeat song is such a great way to have your guest get into the groove as you approach the aisle. Just take a listen here and you’ll see what I mean.

6. Over the Rainbow by Iz

How can you not like IZ this is a great ceremony song where you might be seeing all your guests sway as your walk down the aisle. That or they might be singing to the lyrics. To listen to this ceremony song, listen here

7. Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles

This song is very well known to your parents and grandparents. If you play this song they will love you, especially if they are a Beatles fan. This song is very upbeat and as you walk to this music you’ll feel all the butterflies go away to your stomach and start smiling ear to ear. To listen to this ceremony song, click here

8. Lucky by Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat

This duet is so lovely to listen to! Can you imagine the words, “lucky I’m in love with my best friend” as you walk down the aisle? That’s a tear jerker for sure. To listen to this fun ceremony song, click here

9. Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran

This song is another popular song, I hear it played at 80% of the weddings I plan. Some use it for their first dance while others like to play it as their ceremony song. But we all love Ed Sheeran and the lyrics to this song, it captures our hearts that speak volume of how we feel towards our partner. To listen to this song, click here

10. Your Song by Elton John

Looking for an upbeat song that even your parents and grandparents can enjoy? This song is it! To listen to this ceremony song, click here.

Another alternative to any song is having an instrumental version of it. It could even be a song you both love that incorporates your love story or you could save that later for your first dance. Either way an acoustic, violin, or cello version will have tears streaming down everyone’s face. I hope you found this blog helpful and if you did I recommend reading this next blog on ways you can save time planning your wedding. Happy planning!
